History 

A number of years devoted to the design, development, and commercial evaluation of this machine, have produced a simple, reliable, and easy to operate machine.

Design objectives established for this machine were: a fluid capable form-fill-seal machine that would take little floorspace, consume few utilities, and be readily moved within a manufacturing site.  Further objectives were:

• The ability to utilize the majority of existing packaging materials, both low and high cost.
• Long dwell time, low seal temperature die sets.
• Suitability of the machine to be fitted with existing filling equipment of many types.
• Suitability of the machine to be utilized in modern GMP facilities.
• The ability of the machine to be fitted with interchangeable die sets to speed product changeover.
• The annual output of this machine allows it to serve smaller markets that would not justify large multi-lane machines.

Standard Machine Features

• Vertical format reciprocating form-fill-seal machine.
• Can utilize most laminated films, foils, or coated papers.
• Sequential logic control system.
• Independent proportional temperature controls.
• 6" maximum package length.
• 6" Seal die width can be divided into multiple filling lines.
• Typical cycle rate of 25-40 per minute, times the number of filling lines determines finished package output.
• Photoelectric registration system can center graphics on both front and back of package.
• Advanced unwind system for packaging material web.
• Resettable totalizing counter
• Fast roll change system reduces downtime.
• Swing-away web guide assembly allows quick access to seal dies for cleaning.
• Highly insulated heat dies conserve heat and reduce power consumption.
• Low machine height (about 4 1/2 ft above floor) allows semi-automatic hand loading of solid products.
• Fully guarded with interlocked access doors, and fully ground fault protected.
• Convenience outlet for powering auxiliary equipment.
• Consumes less than 5 CFM of compressed air at 80 PSI.
• Requires less than 15 amps at 120 VAC.
• Machine is readily moved by one person with a pallet jack.
